It’s strange but there seems to be a lot of internet marketers that aren’t marketing online for the sole purpose of making money…
I know some people that have some pretty popular Blogs and they refuse to put any type of ads on it whatsoever (you know it’s a “principal” thing) and that’s one thing but I’m referring to the internet marketers that are online to make money yet they continue to sabotage their efforts.
The one area most internet marketers need to devote some attention to is that of pricing…
Now I’m not talking about those clowns that price their eBooks at $97 a pop…
No, I’m talking about guys typically starting out or still struggling to generate a consistent income because they typically under price the amount of value they put into their products.
If you’re anything like them, you always follow through with any support that is necessary to keep your customers happy and most of the time you’re willing to go the extra mile to exceed their expectations.
Yet when it comes time to price your product or service it’s as if you lose your fortitude and the only thing you focus on is:
“I need to make X amount of dollars”
That’s when you need to remember that you’re in this business to make a profit and as large a profit as possible at that.
Make sure you consider everything you’re putting into your product or service when you price it and coincidentally in my experience…
Price has never been an issue when someone is convinced that they need your product.
It’s almost as if it’s a moot point. They’ve already decided that they need your product and and then at the end they’re like:
“Oh yeah, how much is it?”
And to finish this…
One of the first lessons I learned in business was that marketing your products based on lower prices creates, attracts and breeds some of the worst customers imaginable…
You know the kind… cheap, they expect everything under the moon for $5 and then they return it because they didn’t think it was worth it… and then my personal favorite the guy that buys from you once and then buys from some where else the next time because he found it cheaper.
Believe me, it ain’t worth it… create value in your products and then price accordingly and one last thing…
The beauty of the internet is that you can test different price levels with a simple script and know immediately what price levels convert better.
If people are buying your stuff now, buy a split-testing script and test out your sales page at a higher price point.
What’s the worst thing that could happen?
You’ll make some more money?
